Maple Grove’s Jordyn Lamker Commits to University of St. Thomas Basketball
Her AAU basketball season is on hold because of the COVID-19 situation, but Maple Grove High School junior Jordyn Lamker is still working on her game.
Lamker recently made a verbal commitment to play for the University of St. Thomas beginning in the fall of 2021.
Her mother, Amy Bot Lamker, starred for the Tommies in the 1990’s.
St. Thomas is transitioning from Division III to Division I, so Lamker says the timing is perfect for her.
She is getting a lot of shots up on her backyard court with her sister Shea and parents Amy and Derrin.
Lamker is in her first season with the Minnesota Stars AAU program, but the April and May tournaments that were scheduled have been postponed or cancelled.
So getting to know her new teammates is taking place online or by phone.
Jordyn is also missing out on the high school golf season this spring, but is staying upbeat about something that is out of her control.
