Maple Grove’s Jackson Brown Wins 500 Freestyle at State Meet
Maple Grove senior Jackson Brown won the 500 freestyle race at the state Class AA boys swimming and diving meet Friday.
Brown’s winning time was 4:28.81. He also placed second in the 200 freestyle.
Brown’s teammate Daniel Baltes placed second in the 50 freestyle and 100 freestyle.
Zachary Hopp of the Crimson was fifth in the 100 breaststroke.
Their 200 freestyle relay placed third and the Crimson 400 freestyle relay was fourth, helping the Crimson to fifth place as a team.
Wayzata’s Nick Kale finished fourth in the 100 breaststroke, and their 200 medley relay placed fourth. The Trojans were ninth as a team.
Stuart Fish of Hopkins placed second in diving.
