Maple Grove’s Injured Kyle Kukkonen Cheers on Teammates
Maple Grove boys hockey player Kyle Kukkonen won’t get to play in the state tournament this weekend.
The junior was off to a great start before breaking his leg in December.
So Kukkonen has had to adjust to the role of supportive teammate as the Crimson made a push to win a section title.
He says he’s gained a different perspective having to watch his team play instead of being on the ice.
Kukkonen has attended most practices since his injury.
