Maple Grove’s Ethan Haider Picked in NHL Draft
Maple Grove’s Ethan Haider had a dream come true when he was picked in the recent NHL draft.
Haider was picked in the 5th round by the Nashville Predators.
The goalie recently returned to Minnesota from the Predators prospect camp after the draft.
Haider helped Maple Grove to the state high school tournament as a freshman in 2017.
He played for the Crimson as a sophomore before joining the Minnesota Magicians for junior hockey.
Haider will play junior hockey in the USHL this season for Sioux City.
He’ll compete for Clarkson in college.
Maple Grove had another 5th round pick as Trevor Janicke was selected by the Anaheim Ducks.
