Maple Grove’s Brock Faber Selected in 2nd Round of NHL Draft
Maple Grove native Brock Faber was picked in the 2nd round of the NHL draft Wednesday.
Defenseman Faber, a freshman at the University of Minnesota, was the 45th overall pick, taken by the Los Angeles Kings.
He played last season for the United States National Team Development Program U-18 team.
The draft was pushed back from June until this week due to the COVID-19 pandemic and subsequent changes to the NHL schedule.
