Maple Grove unable to duplicate magic of last week

Eden Prairie ended Maple Grove’s season in football Thursday night, shutting out the Crimson 26-0. One week after rallying to beat St. Michael-Albertville in the final minute of play, the Crimson were unable to score against an Eagles’ defense that posted its second straight playoff shutout. Eden Prairie rushed for 272 yards while holding Maple Grove to 83 yards on the ground. Eden Prairie plays for the Class 6A championship next Friday in the Prep Bowl.
