Maple Grove Tops Champlin Park in Gymnastics
The Maple Grove gymnastics team defeated Champlin Park 128.100-114.850 in the first dual meet of the season for both teams.
Maple Grove senior Sasha Thomson- a four-time state meet entrant- won all four events (Vault, Bars, Beam, Floor) to win the all-around title for the meet with a score of 36.025.
Melina Ung was the Rebels’ top all-arounder with a score of 31.775.
Each team has two more meets before Christmas.
