Maple Grove Softball Loses to Blaine
The Maple Grove softball team fell out of first place in the Northwest Suburban Conference Tuesday following an 11-7 loss to now first-place Blaine.
Kaitlyn Way homered twice for the Bengals who jumped out to a 7-0 lead after two innings.
The Crimson scored six runs in the third but got no closer.
Blaine is now 8-1 in NWSC games, Maple Grove is 7-2 while Champlin Park and Centennial are both 7-1.
Maple Grove hosts Armstrong in its next conference game on Thursday afternoon.
