Maple Grove Softball Beats Wayzata
The Maple Grove softball team broke up a close game scoring three runs in the fifth inning and two more in the sixth on their way to a 7-1 win over Wayzata.
The Crimson are now 3-0 on the season while the Trojans fall to 1-1.
Alyssa Wernz knocked in runs in both the third and sixth innings and also scored a run for the Crimson.
The Trojans’ Ella Freeman led off the game with a homerun to account for Wayzata’s lone run.
