Maple Grove Routs Osseo 55-7 in Football Opener
In game delayed twice by rain and lightning, the Maple Grove football team won its season opener at Osseo 55-7.
Chuck Langama and Dylan Vokal scored two touchdowns each while quarterback Kaden Harney threw for two scores and ran for another.
The Crimson defense forced four Osseo turnovers.
The Orioles got their only score of the game late in the fourth quarter on a rushing touchdown by Mikey Criswall.
Maple Grove, ranked number one in the state in Class 6A in at least one poll, hosts Champlin Park for the Crimson home opener next Friday night while Osseo is home against Coon Rapids.
