Maple Grove Legion Baseball Edges Rogers
The Maple Grove Post 172 American Legion baseball team continued its winning ways by edging Rogers 2-1 Thursday.
Dylan Vokal’s line drive hit that was just fair down the third base line scored Connor Buckley with the winning run in the bottom of the seventh inning.
Buckley knocked in Maple grove’s first run in the second inning.
Pitcher Sam Hagen held that led until the sixth, when Zach Burney drove in the tying run for Rogers.
Maple Grove also beat Brooklyn Park in the second game of their split doubleheader.
