Maple Grove Girls Soccer Wins Section Title
The Maple Grove girls soccer team won a section title Tuesday in thrilling fashion.
The Crimson beat Centennial 3-2 in overtime in the Section 5AA final.
Maple Grove trailed 2-1 with under five minutes to play before Brenna Saladin tied it with her second goal.
In overtime, L.J. Kolodge nailed a shot off the crossbar that came to Saladin and she put it away to win the game.
It’s Maple Grove’s second straight trip to state after several near-misses in previous seasons.
