Maple Grove Girls Soccer to Play for Championship
The Maple Grove girls soccer team is set to play for a state championship.
They play Centennial for the class AA title at 3:00 p.m. Thursday at U.S. Bank Stadium.
Centennial beat Maple Grove 2-1 in a regular season meeting in early September.
The Crimson advanced to the final with a dominant performance in a 3-0 win over Champlin Park.
It’s the second time in three seasons that Maple Grove has played in the championship game.
They lost to Eagan in the 2017 final.
Centennial won the class AA title in 2016.
