Maple Grove Girls Soccer Shoots for Strong Season
The Maple Grove girls soccer team is shooting for another strong season with a veteran team.
The Crimson return 13 varsity players, including six starters, from a team that won the Section 8AA title last fall.
They did not get a chance to defend the state title they won in 2019 because the state tournament was not held due to COVID-19.
Maple Grove is 1-0-1 early this season.
A strong defensive group led by Avery Toms and Kendall Quall is a strength of this year’s squad.
Maple Grove gets a new group of playoff opponents this fall as they move into Section 5AAA in soccer’s new three-class alignment.
