Maple Grove Girls Soccer Returns to State
The Maple Grove girls soccer team will return to the state tournament.
After 100 scoreless minutes, the Crimson beat St. Michael-Albertville in a shootout for the Section 8AA title.
Maple Grove outscored the Knights 4-3 in the shootout.
It is the third consecutive trip to state for the Crimson, and third in program history.
This is their first season in Section 8AA after winning in Section 5AA the past two seasons.
