Maple Grove Girls Soccer Loses 5AAA Final to Mounds View
The Maple Grove girls soccer team lost 2-0 to Mounds View in the Section 5AAA championship game Tuesday.
Ava Westlund scored both Mustangs’ goals in the second half.
The Crimson won section titles in 2017, 2018 and 2019, winning a state championship in 2019 and finish the season with a record of 13-3-2.
Mounds View (15-2-2) is making its 13th state tournament appearance and first since 2015.
