Maple Grove Girls Lacrosse Beats Champlin Park for NWSC Title
The Maple Grove girls lacrosse team took control early and beat Champlin Park 13-7 in a matchup that decided the Northwest Suburban Conference title.
The Crimson finished the regular season with a perfect 13-0 record.
Sosi Van Wyk scored five goals for the Crimson.
Ella Olson added three goals and two assists, Ryley Dunn a goal and four assists, and Leah Muscatello two goals and two assists.
Emma Crater made eight saves, several of them key stops.
Maple Grove should be one of the top seeds in Section 5 along with defending section champion Benilde-St. Margaret’s.
Champlin Park finished the regular season with a 12-2 mark and should be the top seed in Section 7.
