Maple Grove Girls Hockey Tops Rogers in Overtime
The Maple Grove girls hockey team beat Rogers 2-1 in overtime for the Crimson’s 11th win of the season.
Ella Olson scored the game-winning goal on a pass from Lauren Stenslie at the 6:59 mark of overtime.
Stella Retrum scored in the first period for the Crimson. The Royals’ Emma Rooks scored in the second period to tie the game.
Brooke Cassibo earned the win in net for Maple Grove (11-4-0) netting 14 saves. Alexa Backmann made 29 saves for Rogers (7-7-0).
Both teams play three home games this week to finish the regular season.
