Maple Grove Girls Hockey Team Edges Rogers
The Maple Grove girls hockey team edged Rogers 5-4 Tuesday night.
Maple Grove jumped out to a 2-0 lead midway through the first period before Rogers responded with two goals.
Maple Grove netted the only goal of the second period to take a 3-2 lead.
After the Royals tied it, the Crimson scored two in a row and held on for the win.
Five different players scored for Maple Grove, with Lauren Stenslie and McKayla Machlitt each having a goal and two assists.
Paige Vreeman scored two goals for Rogers.
Maple Grove is 18-5-1 heading into their regular season finale against second-ranked Edina Friday.
