Maple Grove Girls Hockey Skates Past Osseo/Park Center in 5AA Playoffs
Kelsey Olson scored two goals and added two assists to lead the Maple Grove girls hockey team to a 7-1 win over Osseo/Park Center in the quarterfinal round of the Section 5AA tournament.
Bella Shipley opened the scoring with her team-high 22nd goal of the season just 58 seconds into the game. Shipley also recorded two assists in the game.
Hadley Bakker made it 2-0 Crimson off a pass from Olson following a Crimson face-off win. Lauren Lubow and Olson capped the first period scoring with goals.
Trailing 5-0, the Stars’ Gabby Edlund scored the lone goal of the night for Osseo/Park Center.
Abbey Oakland and Harper Weineke capped the scoring the Crimson.
Maple Grove (18-7-1) plays Champlin Park/Coon Rapids (16-8-2) in the tournament semifinals Tuesday at Roseville Ice Arena.
