Maple Grove Girls Hockey Skates Past Blaine
The Maple Grove girls hockey team scored a key win Tuesday, skating past Blaine for a 4-1 victory.
Lauren Stenslie and Tristana Taur scored goals about three minutes apart in the first period to put the Crimson up 2-0.
Stenslie scored two more goals, one in the second and one late in the third into an empty net, to help secure the win.
Brooke Cassibo stopped 29 of 30 for the Crimson.
Maple Grove has now won two in a row after a stretch where they went 1-4 against some of the state’s top teams.
It’s also a key win for seeding purposes in Section 5AA.
