Maple Grove Girls Hockey Set for State Tournament
The Maple Grove girls hockey team is set for the state class AA tournament.
The Crimson set reaching the tournament as their top goal this season back in the summer.
They achieved that goal by beating Centennial/Spring Lake Park 4-2 in the Section 5AA championship game.
Maple Grove is the fourth seed for the state tournament.
They’ll meet fifth seed Gentry Academy in the last quarterfinal game of the AA tournament Thursday night at approximately 8:00 p.m.
Maple Grove and Gentry Academy split two regular season meetings this season.
This is the fourth trip to the state tournament for Maple Grove.
