Maple Grove Girls Hockey Falls in Overtime
The Maple Grove girls hockey team lost 2-1 in overtime Saturday to Centennial/Spring Lake Park, their second loss to the Cougars this season.
Cate Fischer’s powerplay goal opened the scoring in the second period to give the Crimson a 1-0 lead.
The Cougars tied it later in the period on a goal from Alexis Larson.
The game stay tied 1-1 until Teagan Kulenkamp won it at the 5:44 mark of overtime.
Bella Prosser made 48 saves in net for the Crimson (6-4-1).
Centennial/Spring Lake Park (10-0-0) is the top-ranked team in Class AA.
