Maple Grove Girls Hockey Beats Wayzata
The Maple Grove girls hockey team skated to a 5-3 win over Wayzata Monday on the opening day of the Walser Invitational tournament in Edina.
Stella Retrum scored three goals to lead the Crimson.
The Crimson improved their season record to 8-2-2 with the win. The Trojans are now 8-5-1.
Andover, Alexandria, Minnetonka, Grand Rapids, Moorhead, and host Edina are the other six teams in the tournament.
Games continue through Wednesday at Braemar Ice Arena in Edina.
