Maple Grove Girls Hockey Beats Champlin Park/Coon Rapids in Section 5AA
The Maple Grove girls hockey team scored three goals in the second period and then tacked on four more in the third on the way to an 8-1 win over Champlin Park/Coon Rapids in the Section 5AA semifinals.
Bella Shipley scored four goals to power the Crimson attack.
It’s the third straight season that Maple Grove has knocked CPCR out in the semifinals.

Second seed Maple Grove now meets top seed Centennial/Spring Lake Park, a 5-2 winner over North Wright County in their semifinal, for the Section 5AA title Friday at Roseville Ice Arena.
The Crimson split two regular season meetings with the Cougars.
