Maple Grove Girls Golf Repeats as Class AAA Champion
The Maple Grove girls golf team won the state class AAA title for a second straight season.
The Crimson followed Tuesday’s first round team score of 305 with a 306 in round two.
That 611 total gave them a comfortable 15 shot margin over second place finisher Wayzata.
Maple Grove senior Amelia Morton had the lead for much of the day but finished second individually with a 143 total, one stroke behind champion Carmen Jirele of Owatonna.
Saachi Deshmukh of Wayzata tied for 5th with a two-round total of 148.
McKenna Hogan of Maple Grove tied for 7th at 149.
