Maple Grove Girls Basketball Set for Virtual Practices
The Maple Grove girls basketball team and others across the state were supposed to start practice next week.
Due to the pause on youth and high school sports due to rising COVID-19 numbers, those practices will now be virtual.
Crimson coach Mark Cook says his staff will use the time to check in with players to see how school and life is going.
They also will work on things that often are hard to find time for during usual practices.
Cook says it’s a tough time for kids being cooped up and that it’s important for them to have contact with teachers and coaches.
