Maple Grove Girls Basketball Playing with Pace
The Maple Grove girls basketball team lacks the size of some of the previous Crimson teams, but a smaller, quicker lineup has enabled them to succeed playing at a faster pace.
Maple Grove is off to a 7-1 start heading into Thursday night’s game against Champlin Park.
They are rated seventh in class AAAA.
The Crimson lost their last game of the 2023 portion of the schedule, falling 56-51 to Prior Lake.
They are hoping to use the loss as a learning experience.
After meeting Champlin Park, Maple Grove faces a big challenge Monday.
They’ll play a road game at the home of defending state class AAAA champion St. Michael-Albertville.
The Knights are unbeaten this season and rated number two.
