Maple Grove Girls Basketball Eliminated by St. Michael-Albertville
The Maple Grove girls basketball team was eliminated by St. Michael-Albertville in the semifinals of the Section 8AAAA tournament, losing 70-56.
The Knights jumped out to an 11-2 lead and the Crimson never got closer than six points the rest of the night.
Emma Miller scored 26 points to lead St. Michael-Albertville while Kendal Cox added 18.
The Crimson (16-4) were led in scoring by Kylie Baranick (17) and Ari Gordon (16).
The Knights (9-8) play at Elk River in the section final Thursday night at 7:00.
