Maple Grove Girls Basketball Beats Edina; Mark Cook’s 400th Win
Five players scored in double figures as the Maple Grove girls basketball team rallied to beat Edina 80-67.
It was the 400th career win for Crimson head coach Mark Cook, who has been the team’s head coach since the 2005-06 season.
Sienna Mayer led Maple Grove in points with 21. Lydia Gilbert added 17, Sophia Anderson 13, Monica Stang 11 and Mariah Sexton 10.
Quinn Kemper scored 20 points for Edina (6-7) who led 49-42 in the second half before the Crimson came back.
Maple Grove (12-3) is scheduled to play at STMA on Friday.
