Maple Grove Football Wins Again; Advances to Semifinals
The Maple Grove football team won its seventh straight game, advancing to the state playoff semifinals with a 31-12 win over Woodbury.
The Crimson (10-1) scored a touchdown in each quarter and also added a fourth quarter field goal.
Derrick Jameson rushed for 219 yards and two touchdowns as the Crimson totaled 419 yards of offense.
Woodbury (9-2) fell behind 21-0 before scoring late in the third quarter.
Maple Grove now plays the winner of Friday’s Eden Prairie-Farmington game next Thursday at U.S. Bank Stadium.
