Maple Grove Football Rolls Past Edina 33-7
The Maple Grove football team outscored Edina 27-0 in the second half to earn their fourth win of the season, beating the Hornets 33-7.
Edina scored first on a touchdown pass from Mason West to Sammy Stephenson.
The Crimson answered in the second quarter with a touchdown run by James Engle but failed on the point after try and trailed by one at halftime, 7-6.
But the Crimson played a strong second half with Engle scoring two touchdowns and finishing the game with 242 yards rushing.
Quarterback Kaden Harney threw and ran for a touchdown after halftime while the Maple Grove defense shut down West and the Hornets offense.
Maple Grove (4-0) plays at Moorhead (3-1) on Friday.
