Maple Grove Football Ready for Final Test
The Maple Grove football team is one win away from a second unbeaten, state championship season.
The Crimson (12-0) beat Shakopee in the state semifinals last week and now meets Minnetonka (10-2) in the Class 6A championship game Friday night at U.S. Bank Stadium. The Crimson rallied to beat the Skippers 31-21 in the last game of the regular season.
It’s the final week of high school football for the team’s seniors, 17 of whom are starters.
The Crimson have outscored their opponents 508-123 and look to join the 2022 Maple Grove team as the only state champions in program history.
