Maple Grove Football Preps for Lakeville South and State Playoffs
The Maple Grove football team finds itself in a familiar spot– in the state Class 6A playoffs. The unbeaten Crimson are in the state playoffs for the fourth time in the past five seasons.
Winners of 23 straight games, Maple Grove is coming off a 55-18 win over East Ridge in the team’s final home game of the season.
The state quarterfinal round games are played at neutral sites and this week Maple Grove faces Lakeville South (8-2) Friday at 6:00 pm at Eastview High School in Apple Valley.
The winner moves indoors for the state semifinals next week at U.S. Bank Stadium.
