Maple Grove Football Moves Indoors for State Semifinals
The Maple Grove football team won’t have to worry about the snow, wind or cold this week.
After two straight weeks of playing outside in tough weather conditions, the Crimson moves indoors this week for their Class 6A semifinal round game.
Maple Grove (10-1) faces Eden Prairie (10-1) Thursday at 7:00 p.m. at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis.
The Crimson is practicing indoors this week at the Maple Grove Sports Dome to try to acclimate to the warmer temperatures at U.S. Bank.
Maple Grove is coming off a 42-13 win over Woodbury in the quarterfinals while Eden Prairie defeated Farmington 17-7 in their quarterfinal round game.
The other Class 6A semifinal features Lakeville South and St. Michael-Albertville. That game is Friday at 7:00 p.m.
