Maple Grove Football Eases Into Prep Bowl Preparations
With another nine days until their final game of the season, the Maple Grove football team is mixing game preparation in with a little fun.
The Prep Bowl games will be played December 2nd and 3rd this season with the Crimson’s game against Rosemount set for 7:00 pm Friday the 2nd at U.S. Bank Stadium.
That gives the Crimson a little extra time to rest, coming off their state semifinal game win on November 17th.
One of the highlights this week is the “Junior Varsity Prep Bowl” on Wednesday featuring a scrimmage featuring this year’s JV players, and coached by some of the varsity players.
Thanksgiving will be an off day and players will come back to practice Friday morning as they ramp up preparations for the Prep Bowl.
Both Maple Grove and Rosemount are 12-0 this season. The Crimson lost 13-7 to Lakeville South in last year’s championship game.
