Maple Grove Football Beats Edina
The Maple Grove football team beat Edina 20-7 Friday, earning their first victory of the season.
The Hornets scored first, before Maple Grove took the lead for good in the second quarter.
Nate Elmes threw touchdown passes to Jacob Engle and Luke Raymon to give the Crimson a 14-7 halftime lead.
Anthony Gipson was in on 17 tackles for the Crimson.
They had a balanced attack, throwing for 136 yards and rushing for 126.
