Maple Grove Football Beats Eden Prairie for 15th Straight Win
The Maple Grove football team won for the second time this season and 15th time in a row overall in beating Eden Prairie 28-14.
The Eagles broke a scoreless drive with a short Andrew Johnson touchdown run in the second quarter before Maple Grove answered just before halftime with a one-yard Kaden Harney touchdown run.
The Crimson took the lead for good in the third quarter on a 71-yard touchdown run by James Engle and a 49-yard touchdown pass from Harney to Jeffrey Nordvold.
Harney capped the scoring late in the fourth quarter with a 57-run scoring run.
Engle finished the game with 201 yards rushing with Harney totaling 130 yards of total offense and three touchdowns.
Maple Grove (2-0) hosts Mounds View Friday.
