Maple Grove Eliminates Champlin Park in 5AAAA Girls Basketball
The Maple Grove girls basketball advanced to the Section 5AAAA championship game with a 52-40 win over Champlin Park in the semifinals Tuesday night.
Emma Kanz scored 14 points to lead the Crimson while Jordan Ode added 12 points and Kyla Overskei 10.
Mikaelah Counce and Nicole Lillard scored 11 points each for the Rebels.
Maple Grove outscored Champlin Park 26-20 in each half.
The Rebels finish the season with a record of 11-16.

Maple Grove (24-4) won its 20th straight game and faces Roseville in the section final Thursday night at Anoka High School.
