Maple Grove Boys Hockey Wins Turkey Trot Title
The Maple Grove boys hockey team won the CCX Media Turkey Trot tournament Saturday.
The Crimson erupted for five goals in the third period to rally past Moorhead for a 6-2 win.
Maple Grove beat defending state champion Edina 7-5 in the semifinals.
Tyler Oakland had two goals and an assist in the championship game for the Crimson.
Henry Nelson had three assists, with Sam Jacobs netting a goal and an assist.
It’s the second straight Turkey Trot title for the Crimson.
