Maple Grove Boys Hockey Team Set for State Tournament
The Maple Grove boys hockey team is set for the state class AA tournament.
The Crimson qualified for the third time in school history, beating Blaine in the Section 5AA final.
Maple Grove did not get seeded for the tournament; the top five teams are seeded.
They drew second seed Blake in the quarterfinals.
The Crimson beat the Bears 5-4 in overtime in the regular season finale.
Maple Grove and Blake play at 11:00 Thursday morning at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul.
