Maple Grove Boys Hockey Shuts Out Blaine in Regular Season Finale
The Maple Grove boys hockey team wrapped up an outstanding regular season with an 8-0 win over Blaine Saturday.
The Crimson scored three times in the first period, three more in the second, and two goals in the third.
Ian Barbour and Ethan Elias each scored two goals for the Crimson, while Kyle Kukkonen had a goal and four assists.
Maple Grove finishes the regular season with a 17-1 record and ranked third in the state class AA poll.
They are the top seed for the Section 5AA tournament and open play Thursday against Coon Rapids.
