Maple Grove Boys Hockey Scores 6-1 Win over Totino-Grace
The Maple Grove boys hockey team remained undefeated on the season with a 6-1 win over Totino-Grace.
The Crimson’s top line of Sam Jacobs, Kyle Kukkonen and Chris Kernan combined for four goals and six assists.
Maple Grove scored 45 seconds into the game when Kukkonen won a face-off in the Eagles’ zone and quickly passed to Jacobs for the tap-in goal.
The first period ended with Kukokken snapping home a shot off a pass from Jacobs with one second to play to give the Crimson a 4-0 lead after one.
Connor Smith scored the lone goal for Grace in the second period.
Ian Barbour and Landen Gunderson also scored for the Crimson who outshot the Eagles (5-4-1) 63-18.

Maple Grove (13-0-0) plays at Andover (12-1-0) on Thursday. The Crimson beat the Huskies 5-1 earlier in the season.
