Maple Grove Boys Hockey Ready for 5AA Final
For the fifth straight season the Maple Grove boys hockey team is playing for a spot in the state tournament.
The Crimson earned a spot in the Section 5AA final with a 6-1 win over Champlin Park in the section semifinals. Centennial beat Rogers in the other semifinal.
Maple Grove beat Centennial 4-2 when the teams played earlier this month.
The Crimson (21-6) are the top seed in 5AA and have won the past two section finals that have been played at Elk River’s Furniture and Things Community Event Center.
Centennial (18-7-2) is looking to get to state for the first time since 2018.
