Maple Grove Boys Hockey Overpowers Andover
The top-ranked Maple Grove boys hockey team scored its biggest win of the season so far, overpowering number ten Andover 5-1.
The game matched two teams that each came into the game undefeated.
Chris Kernan and Sam Jacobs each had two goals and an assist for the Crimson, with Kyle Kukkonen adding four assists.
Jack Wieneke stopped 27 of 28 shots for Maple Grove.
Maple Grove lost all three meetings to Andover last season, including in the state tournament consolation final.
Maple Grove is now 6-0 and comes right back to face another good opponent Saturday when they take on Blaine.
