Maple Grove Boys Hockey Loses to Blaine
The Maple Grove boys hockey team lost 4-1 to Blaine Thursday.
It was a key game in the Northwest Suburban Conference and for seeding in Section 5AA.
Jack Reimann and Cole Hansen scored goals less than a minute apart in the first period to give the Bengals a 2-0 lead.
Sam Jacobs scored the only goal for the Crimson in the third, but Blaine netted two in the period.
Hansen had two goals for the Bengals and goalie Ryan Wallin stopped 30 of 31 shots for Blaine.
Maple Grove has now lost three of its past five games after starting out 6-0.
They are now 8-3.
