Maple Grove Boys Hockey Edges Wayzata at Turkey Trot Tournament
The Maple Grove boys hockey team bounced back from a shutout loss to Edina to beat host Wayzata 4-3 in the finale of the CCX Turkey Trot tournament Saturday night.
Wayzata tied the game at 3-3 on a Colin Bierman deflection goal with just under four minutes to play before Brady Aubut scored the game-winner on a powerplay for Maple Grove.
Wayzata had defeated Moorhead 3-2 in overtime on the first night of the tournament. All four teams ended up 1-1 in the two-day event.
