Maple Grove Boys Hockey Cruises in Playoff Opener
The Maple Grove boys hockey team cruised past Spring Lake Park 9-0 in the Section 5AA quarterfinals.
The Crimson scored twice in the first period, then blew it open with five more in the second.
Ben Leafblad and Josh Giuliani each scored two goals for the Crimson.
Second seed Maple Grove meets third seed Centennial in the semifinals Saturday night in Champlin.
