Maple Grove Boys Hockey Blanks Blaine 2-0
The Maple Grove boys’ hockey team shut out Blaine 2-0 Thursday to remain in second place in the Northwest Suburban Conference.
Jaden Roueche scored his fourth goal of the season on a rebound late in the second period to give the Crimson the lead for good. Wyatt Kuznik scored an empty net goal with just over a minute to play to seal the victory. Kuznik’s eight goals leads the team.
Zach Price stopped all the Blaine shots to post a shutout in net.
Maple Grove (7-6-1 overall, 4-0-1 Northwest Suburban Conference) plays at Andover Saturday.
