Maple Grove Boys Hockey Aims High This Season
The Maple Grove boys hockey team is aiming high this season after falling just short of a state title last season.
The Crimson lost to Andover in double overtime in the state Class AA championship game in March.
They return much of their group of defensemen, along with some top forwards like D-1 commits Finn Brink and Landen Gunderson.
Maple Grove is ranked second in the pre-season Class AA poll. They open Friday night against fourth-ranked Edina in the first game of the CCX Turkey Trot tournament hosted by Wayzata.
